Of the west coast of Vancouver Island, not far from my home, is a jagged outcrop called Race Rocks. It is an area teaming with marine life, from gulls and cormorants, to a large colony of sea lions. It has been designated as a marine park. On one of our more recent visits we watched as a flock of Canada Geese joined the other marine birds for their evening feast, before drifting into a nearby cove to settle down for the night.
